 From last year's tribute to the blue helmets

 

UNA members from Missouri chapters join Maj. Gen. Anis Bajwa of the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations at the UN Peace Plaza in Independence to honor UN peacekeepers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

 

 

Maj. Gen. Bajwa is flanked by Col. Scott Weaver, U.S. Army, and Lt. Col. Graeme Finney of Australia and other instructors and students from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth at the UN Peace Plaza following a program at the Truman Library.

 

 

Lt. Col. Finney and Maj. Gen. Bajwa  lay a wreath at the base of the U.N. Peace Plaza. The plaza, located in Independence, Missouri, is dedicated to U.N. peacekeepers who lost their lives in the line of duty. The wreath laying followed a Tribute to the Blue Helmets held at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum on Saturday, May 31, 2008.
