Tribute to the Blue Helmets

The 60th Anniversary of

United Nations Peacekeeping

Lt. Col. Graeme Finney (Australia) and Major General Anis Bajwa of the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations lay a wreath at the base of the U.N. Peace Plaza. The plaza, located in Independence, Missouri, is dedicated to U.N. peacekeepers who lost their lives in the line of duty. The wreath laying followed a Tribute to the Blue Helmets held at the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum on Saturday, May 31.
