About The Event
This year, #KansasCity will once again be joining the rest of the world to celebrate #WorldRefugeeDay!  On June 20th, the United Nations Association of Greater Kansas City and  our partners will be hosting a walk-up and drive-thru event at the Samuel U Rodgers Health Center.
Refugees and New Americans can drive/walkup up to Samuel Rodgers to receive- food packages, medical kits and hygiene kits. The food package will include a to-go box of rice, chicken, sambusa and water. In addition, fresh fruits and vegetable may be available depending on availability.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to gather or dance this year, but we hope #everyone can join us remotely online! More details coming soon!
A special thanks to our partner organizations: The American Red Cross, Baraza: African Cultures Center, Children's Mercy Hospitals, Della Lamb Community Services, Jackson County, Missouri, Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, Jewish Vocational Services, Kansas City, Missouri, The Kansas City Public Library, Kansas City Public Schools, KC for Refugees, Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, International Academy, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, the YMCA, Once We Were Refugees, and the International Relations Council.
